Costa Rica Protects Life — Why Can’t America Do the Same?
In Costa Rica, abortion is illegal except when the mother’s life is at risk. President Rodrigo Chaves made that clear this week, reaffirming his nation’s commitment to protect both mothers and their unborn children. While activists protested, most Costa Ricans agreed that innocent life deserves protection.
Meanwhile in America, we continue to see the opposite. Our nation, once a global symbol of freedom and moral clarity, has become one of the most permissive countries in the world when it comes to abortion. Even after Roe v. Wade was overturned, powerful political forces are still fighting to normalize the killing of unborn children at any stage of pregnancy, often funded by taxpayer dollars.
Think about that. In Central America, a developing nation with fewer resources, the president stands boldly for life. Yet here in the United States, supposedly the most advanced nation on earth, we have politicians arguing that abortion should be available up to the moment of birth or even after in the case of failed abortions.
The difference is not about science or medicine. We all know what happens in the womb. The difference is about courage. Costa Rica has it. America needs to find it again.
If we ever hope to restore a culture of life, we must do more than talk about the issue. We must act. That is what Amendment 3 in Missouri is about: protecting as many lives as we can and refusing to let the abortion lobby write our laws for us.
Join the Fight for Life
Missouri has the opportunity to lead where Washington has failed. By supporting Amendment 3, we can ensure our constitution defends the unborn, honors mothers, and sends a message that life is sacred, no matter what Planned Parenthood or the media say.
Every signature, every donation, and every conversation matters. Together, we can make Missouri a state that stands for life without apology.
