Morgan County Church Hosting “Step Up Church” Event to Encourage Pastors and Churches to Engage the Culture
Versailles, MO — Calvary Baptist Church is hosting a powerful new community event called “Step Up Church.” The purpose of this gathering is to encourage pastors and churches across Missouri to rise up and engage in the moral and cultural battles shaping our state and nation.
This is not just another event. It is a call to action for the body of Christ. In order to win the fight for Amendment 3 and to preserve biblical truth in our culture, we must have full participation from every church in Missouri. There is no excuse for any church to sit on the sidelines.
Event Details
The Step Up Church event will take place at Calvary Baptist Church, 10485 Highway 52, Versailles, MO 65084. For more information, call 573-378-4798.
The grounds will open at 4:00 PM on Saturday, October 25th with food, popcorn, snow cones, bounce houses, and fellowship for families and guests. The main event will begin at 6:00 PM with live music from local worship leaders, followed by several speakers addressing the serious issues facing our communities, our state, and our nation. The evening will also include public prayer, seeking God’s direction and courage to step up in faith and action.
Organizers say the goal is simple: to encourage and motivate Christians to stand firm, speak truth, and engage their world for the glory of God.
A Call to Every Church
The Calvary Baptist believes it is past time for churches to move from silence to boldness. “Step Up Church” is designed to equip and inspire pastors, ministry leaders, and believers to confront the issues of our day with conviction and compassion.
Every church, regardless of size or denomination, has a vital role to play in shaping culture. When believers step back, darkness advances. Winning the battle for Amendment 3, and more broadly restoring truth in our public life, requires the full commitment of the church.
The Biblical Mandate
James 4:17 says,
“Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.”
This verse is not just a warning. It is a command to act. When we know what is right but refuse to do it, we sin by omission. Missouri’s churches must not shrink back from the fight for life, truth, and righteousness.
An Invitation to Step Up
Calvary Baptist Church is inviting pastors, church leaders, and believers across the state to be part of this movement. Together, we can strengthen the moral and spiritual foundation of Missouri.
The “Step Up Church” event is more than a meeting. It is a moment for the church to wake up, speak up, and step up. Come ready to be encouraged, challenged, and inspired.
