Planned Parenthood Shuts Down in Louisiana — Missouri Must Keep Pressing Forward
After more than 40 years in Louisiana, Planned Parenthood has finally packed up and closed its doors. The abortion giant cited “financial and political pressure” as the reason they could no longer stay open. That’s another way of saying this: when the people stand strong and lawmakers hold the line, Planned Parenthood can’t survive.
What’s especially telling is that these Louisiana clinics hadn’t been allowed to perform abortions for years. They were hanging on by providing other so-called “health services,” but the momentum of a pro-life culture finally pushed them out. This shows what happens when pro-life laws aren’t just passed, but enforced, defended, and kept strong year after year.
Meanwhile, in Missouri, the same abortion lobby that just lost in Louisiana is pouring millions of dollars into trying to undo what we’ve achieved here. They want Amendment 3 repealed and abortion expanded. They want to make Missouri look like California. We cannot let them.
The lesson from Louisiana is clear: when pro-lifers don’t back down, Planned Parenthood goes down. But if we let up, even for a moment, they come back stronger. Missouri must stand firm, protect life in law, and protect mothers and babies in practice.
Now is the time for every pro-life Missourian to act. Your prayers, your volunteer hours, and your financial support are what keep this movement alive. If Planned Parenthood can close up shop after 40 years in Louisiana, then with your help, we can make sure they never take root again in Missouri.
