Trans Student in Indiana was Planning “Parkland Part Two”

An eighteen-year-old female student from Mooresville, Indiana, has pleaded guilty to planning a mass shooting at her high school on Valentine’s Day. Court documents show she referred to the plan as “Parkland Part Two,” referencing the 2018 school shooting in Florida.

According to prosecutors, the female who pretended to be a male gathered weapons information, ordered a bullet-resistant vest, and kept what investigators called a “shrine” to known mass shooters. The FBI received a tip through its online reporting system and passed the information to local police, who intervened before any attack could take place.

Authorities say the girl lived with significant personal struggles. She had suffered serious injuries in a 2022 car crash, lost her mother to an overdose, and had been treated for mental-health concerns. Investigators did not link the motive to any political or identity issue (Of course they didn’t) but described a fascination with violence and notoriety.

Under a plea agreement, she admitted to conspiracy to commit murder. Other counts, including intimidation and terrorism-related charges, were dismissed. Sentencing is set for late November, and she faces up to twelve-and-a-half years in prison followed by probation.

Law-enforcement officials credited the FBI tip and local coordination with preventing another school tragedy. They also highlighted the importance of early intervention and mental-health support for students showing warning signs.

Missouri Must Learn From This

This case is a sobering reminder of how fragile young minds can become when adults lie to them. The pressures facing teenagers today are immense. Social media isolation, moral confusion, and a culture that celebrates rebellion but neglects responsibility. When that confusion is fed instead of addressed, despair can take root.

Missouri families, churches, and leaders have a duty to provide children with a better foundation. Protecting kids means confronting harmful ideologies honestly and ensuring that parents, not bureaucracies, guide a child’s moral and emotional development.

Amendment 3 represents a commitment to truth. Missouri must stand for the innocence of childhood, uphold parental authority, and keep radical experimentation away from our kids. The tragedy in Indiana shows what can happen when adults abandon that responsibility. Missouri must not make the same mistake.
