Missouri Supreme Court Hears Case on Protecting Kids from Awful Sex Change Operations

This week the Missouri Supreme Court heard arguments over our state’s 2023 law that protects children from horrible sex change operations. The case was brought by three families and their attorneys, who claim that parents should be allowed to subject their children to so-called “gender-affirming care.”

But the reality is clear: this law was passed to protect vulnerable minors from irreversible surgeries, chemical castration, and puberty blockers — actions that leave lifelong scars. Even the clinic at Washington University stopped offering these operations to minors after the law went into effect, citing the “unacceptable” liability. That should tell us all we need to know.

Attorneys for the families argued that parents’ rights are being violated. But real parental responsibility is about protecting children, not handing them over to a political ideology that tells them to reject their God-given bodies. Missouri’s leaders recognized this and acted. As the state’s Solicitor General told the court, lawmakers have every right — and responsibility — to act when “medical uncertainty” surrounds these operations.

And there is deep uncertainty. The Attorney General’s office pointed out that nearly one-third of those who undergo these operations later “de-transition,” left to live with regret and physical consequences that cannot be undone. No taxpayer should ever be forced to fund such reckless experiments, and no child should be put in harm’s way.

Other states are watching Missouri closely. Over two dozen have already stood with us in defending this common-sense law. Just as we lead the way in protecting unborn children, Missouri is leading the way in protecting kids from the transgender industry’s push for wicked sex change operations.

This fight underscores why Amendment 3 is so important in 2026. It will permanently ban these operations on minors in our state, ensuring that no court and no activist agenda can undo the protections our legislature has put in place. Missouri must remain a place where children are safe, parents are supported, and families are strengthened.

Now is the time to act. The other side will pour millions into trying to defeat Amendment 3, because they know if Missouri stands strong, the nation will follow. We cannot afford to sit back. Every gift you give equips us to fight in the courts, on the airwaves, and at the ballot box.

Please give today — $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can — to ensure Missouri protects its children and leads the nation in standing for life, faith, and family. Together, we can win this battle and secure a future where our kids are safe from wicked sex change operations.
