Trump Administration Ends $22 Million in Research Using Aborted Baby Parts

The Trump administration has taken decisive action to protect life by cutting off more than $22 million in federal grantsthat funded research using tissue from aborted babies.

The National Institutes of Health confirmed that 17 grants created under the Biden administration will not be renewed. This step ensures that taxpayer dollars are no longer spent on gruesome and outdated experiments built on the destruction of innocent children.

For years, pro-abortion politicians have defended this “research” as necessary. But modern science proves otherwise. As Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. stated, life-saving research can and should rely on ethical alternatives—such as adult stem cells and umbilical-cord tissue—without sacrificing unborn children.

This move also reverses Biden’s reckless policy of removing oversight, eliminating the Ethics Advisory Board, and opening the floodgates to fetal tissue research. President Trump’s team has instead emphasized that federally funded science must “value human life” at every stage.

At the same time, Congress is advancing the Stem Cell Therapeutic and Research Reauthorization Act of 2025, which invests in adult stem cell research that saves lives without destroying them.

This victory highlights the importance of strong pro-life leadership. Missouri’s Amendment 3 campaign follows in the same spirit—ensuring our constitution protects women, children, and families from a culture that sacrifices life in the name of profit or politics.

MO Protects will continue to stand firm: science and compassion both demand that we end the barbaric use of aborted babies in research.

But we cannot do it without you. Every yard sign, every palm card, every voter conversation costs money. If you believe life is worth defending, please chip in today and help us secure a pro-life Missouri Constitution in 2026.
