The Left Has a Plan to Shut Down Pregnancy Centers—Amendment 3 Is How We Stop Them

Zohran Mamdani

When you want to understand what our opposition intends to do in Missouri, just look at what they are proudly doing in the nation’s largest city. New York City’s new mayor, Zohran Mamdani, has released a sweeping policy agenda targeting pregnancy resource centers (PRCs), expanding government-funded abortion-on-demand, and weaponizing city agencies against any voice that affirms life. This isn’t just speculation—it’s written in his own memo. It’s a roadmap, and if we do not act, Missouri will be next.

1. The Strategy: Regulate Pro-Life Centers Out of Existence

Mayor Mamdani promises that his administration will “protect New Yorkers from false or deceptive information” supposedly spread by PRCs. That language is intentionally vague—designed so the government can punish any pro-life message it dislikes.

He also vows strict enforcement of Local Law 17, a disclosure mandate used for years to burden PRCs with government-scripted warnings, aggressive inspections, fines, and legal threats.

The goal?
Make it legally and financially exhausting for pregnancy resource centers to operate until only abortion clinics remain.

If that sounds extreme, remember: this is exactly the model Missouri’s opposition wants to bring here. They have openly claimed that pro-life counseling is “misinformation” and that PRCs are “dangerous.” Their vision for Missouri is the same as Mamdani’s for New York.

2. Expanding Abortion While Undermining Alternatives

The memo also announces a dramatic expansion of the city’s Abortion Access Hub—doubling its funding to $2 million. This is not merely a referral service. It is a government-run abortion concierge system that:

  • Schedules abortions

  • Helps arrange travel

  • Coordinates financial assistance

  • Supports people from out of state seeking abortions in New York

Meanwhile, the only organizations offering women life-affirming support—PRCs—are targeted for regulation, fines, and public shaming.

This is not about choice.
This is about eliminating any choice that doesn’t lead to abortion.

3. Taxpayer Subsidies for Abortion as PRCs Are Attacked

Mayor Mamdani also plans to double funding to the New York Abortion Access Fund—explicitly because New Yorkers are facing cuts to Medicaid. Instead of strengthening real healthcare, the priority is to guarantee taxpayer-funded abortions.

This reveals the worldview of our opposition:

  • Abortion deserves unlimited funding

  • Pro-life centers deserve government scrutiny and punishment

  • And the culture of life should be pushed out of society entirely

They will not stop at New York. This is a national agenda.

4. Missouri Is the Next Battlefield

Everything in Mamdani’s memo is exactly what Missouri’s pro-abortion groups want to replicate here. They want:

  • PRCs shut down

  • Pro-life speech regulated

  • Abortion publicly funded

  • Any ministry that supports women and protects life driven out

They will never stop until every pro-life presence in our culture has been removed or silenced.

5. Why Amendment 3 Is Essential

Amendment 3 is how Missouri builds a constitutional foundation strong enough to resist these attacks. It will:

  • Stabilize Missouri’s pro-life legal framework

  • Restore our ability to defend unborn children

  • Protect pregnancy resource centers from government harassment

  • Prevent activist judges and bureaucrats from importing New York-style policies into our state

Without Amendment 3, Missouri remains vulnerable. And the opposition knows it.

Missouri Must Act Before the Attacks Come Here

Mayor Mamdani’s plan is a warning of what’s coming. Our opponents are not moderating. They are escalating—boldly, publicly, and aggressively. They will not slow down until abortion is taxpayer-funded and every pro-life institution is dismantled.

Passing Amendment 3 is how we stop that agenda from taking root in Missouri.
It’s how we protect life.
And it’s how we ensure our state never becomes New York City.
