Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how MO PROTECT PAC ("we," "us," and "our") handles information collected through moprotects.org, including our NO on 6 pages, sign-order form, related communications, and any mailing lists or other signup features we may offer. It also explains the services involved and the choices available to you.

Information you provide

When you request signs, we collect your delivery contact details, address, sign quantity and selected contribution method. We record the actual contributor’s name and whether the contributor is an individual or organization. Check contributors provide their reporting address and applicable employment details through the sign form. Individual online contributors provide those details through Anedot. Organizational contributors provide their address and representative details through the sign form. For contributions over $2,000, we record the contributor affirmation and the details associated with it. You may provide additional information with your request.

If we offer mailing lists or other signup features, we collect the details and preferences you choose to submit through those features. We also retain contact information and correspondence when you communicate or otherwise interact with us.

If you make an online contribution, you provide contributor and payment information directly to Anedot. We receive information about your contribution for administration, reconciliation, and applicable reporting. Our custom sign-order form does not ask for or collect payment-card numbers, security codes, or bank-account credentials. Please do not put those details in the order form or send them by email.

Website information and cookies

Our website is hosted by Squarespace. When you visit, Squarespace collects technical and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, and interactions with the site. Squarespace uses this information to provide its services and support their operation and security. Cookies and similar technologies may be used by Squarespace and by services you interact with, such as Anedot or our form provider. Their notices explain their practices.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect website or contribution features. Settings for a third-party service may need to be managed with that service separately.

How we use information

We use information to process sign requests, coordinate contributions and delivery, respond to inquiries, maintain contact, order, and contribution records, and follow up on our communications with you. We may also contact you about MO PROTECT PAC’s activities in ways consistent with your relationship with us, your communication preferences, and applicable law. We use information to address errors, disputes, fraud, or misuse and meet legal obligations.

Where we offer a newsletter, mailing list, or general-interest signup, we use the information you provide to send the communications described at signup. Enrollment in optional email updates is based on your separate opt-in. Submitting a sign order or inquiry does not by itself subscribe you to a separate mailing list. Supplying a phone number does not by itself authorize promotional text messages or automated calls. We obtain any additional consent required for the purpose and method of communication.

Who receives information

MO PROTECT PAC personnel and designated coordinators may receive information for the purposes described in this notice. The sign-order form uses FormSubmit to process submissions and email the submitted details to our designated order-notification recipients. The email services used by those recipients also process and store those messages. Relevant order details may be provided to the people arranging or completing your delivery.

Squarespace provides website hosting. Anedot processes online contributions and handles information submitted through its contribution service. These providers have their own privacy practices and responsibilities. You can review their notices here:

We may disclose information to comply with applicable law, lawful requests, or legal proceedings. Campaign-finance requirements may require certain contributor information, including names, addresses, and contribution details, to be recorded or publicly reported. A request for privacy or deletion does not override those requirements.

Retention

We keep information for the purposes described in this notice, including fulfilling requests, maintaining contact and administrative records, resolving disputes, and complying with legal retention requirements. Different records may need to be kept for different periods. Email copies, contribution records, and provider-held data may have separate retention periods. FormSubmit's documented 30-day submission archive does not determine how long our email copies or other records are retained.

Security and third-party services

Online forms, email, and storage services cannot be guaranteed completely secure or continuously available. Our use of outside providers does not eliminate our responsibilities for the information we handle. If an incident occurs, we will meet any applicable investigation, response, and notification obligations. Nothing in this notice waives your rights or limits duties or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Links to other websites take you to services with their own privacy notices. This notice describes MO PROTECT PAC's practices; it does not control those services' independent practices.

Your choices and requests

You can contact us to ask about information you have provided, request a correction or deletion, or tell us your communication preferences. We may need to verify your identity and retain information needed for legal obligations or other purposes permitted by applicable law. If information is necessary to fulfill an order, declining to provide it or requesting its deletion may prevent us from completing that order.

If you opt in to a mailing list or optional email updates, you can use an unsubscribe option provided with those messages or contact us. Stopping optional updates will not prevent necessary administrative communications, including those about an existing request or contribution.
